The West Point Cemetery is the final resting place for many of the soldiers and officers who proudly fought and died in the Revolutionary War and every other war America has participated in since. Within the cemetery are several monuments and famous graves, including the Cadet Monument, a statue bearing the names of cadets who died while attending the academy, and the gravestones of General Custer and War of 1812 hero Winfield Scott. The cemetery is located within the West Point Academy, just across the Hudson River from historic Constitution Island.
Open daily.
